A survey on media and information literacy in the Brčko District deals with the issue of how do young people use the media and how much do they trust the information they receive?
Main results of the survey are:
• Young people get most of their information from the Internet and social networks
• Traditional media such as TV and radio are almost never used
• Information verification is rare — most of the young people surveyed do not check the accuracy of the content Schools and educational institutions do not sufficiently address media literacy
• Both media and educational professionals emphasize that education is needed for all generations
