Youth Participation Project: Strengthening Civic Engagement

A civil society initiative aimed to increase civic engagement among young people in local communities where youth participation in public decision-making processes was limited.

My Role
I served as a consultant and trainer, supporting the design and implementation of youth participation activities.

Project Description

The project focused on empowering young people to actively participate in community decision-making processes.

Activities included:

• Youth consultations and focus groups

• Workshops on civic participation and democratic processes

• Development of youth-led initiatives within local communities

• Dialogue sessions between young people and local authorities

The program aimed to create sustainable mechanisms for youth involvement while strengthening communication between youth and decision-makers.

Results and Impact

The project successfully engaged dozens of young participants who developed their own initiatives addressing local challenges.

It also strengthened collaboration between youth organizations and local institutions, creating new opportunities for young people to contribute to community development.
